what language is this written in? I have no idea if its possible to implement, but there is a java user interface library already available free of charge for commercial and non-commercial use. it can be found here.

ehhh, idk w/e. I just thought that it would be easier for the player to see a familiar basic framework of the town, like knowing how to climb certain buildings, instead of having to learn new skills for every town you go to. then again, more variety increases a games re-playability... the only ones that are actually realistic are the head-chop and the horizontal slice through the torso, simply because of the shear amount of force needed to cut through all of the bones (and, well, everything else). also, it would make fighting less interesting if you could just cut them into piece...
