Not sure what this has to do with Overgrowth, but I'm just going to point out that Next Car Game is currently on sale on Steam.
So if you want to get it, now is a good time.[/quote]
Darn I payed 9.00 more. It's still fun to be part of the alpha just like Overgrowth.
Happy Easter.

Ummm... We have been waiting long enough. I have a lot of respect for David, Aubrey and the rest of Wolfire, but I think this if quite frankly ridiculous.
FFS the next build is going to be fuc**** amazing with the wait you can tell, maybe a new campaign or gameplay or even weapons. So just shut the fuc* up and be patient!

I'm more leaning on optimization and refactoring instead of new gameplay stuff.
In my hope, the game will run at a consistent FPS.

Yeah, I'm not expecting a big update, I think basically 2 months was dedicated to GDC, and with the reported crashes since a205 (not that I could comment since I started at that) it will probably be fixes and performance improvements.

On the twitter updates the automated simplification of geometry looked like a tool for modelers to enhance their workflow and at the same time offer better support for lower end systems (though I'm not sure I've fully understood).

There was the Steam Dev Days, GDC, and PAX. Yes, they went to all three.

That and alpha 206 is in Steam's "advance_testing" branch right now.

I have a HUGE feeling you're right. Downloading the advance_testing version off Steam.
EDIT: Still doesn't work for me. :/

Well, if someone's using a laptop with internal Intel GPU that's of good quality, then the 206 change on intel gpus might do something. The mesh simplification LOD might help in some cases too, but not at fighting ranges.

So no generic compatibility updates, but specific minor ones.
