I think Wolfire should make weapons for their next alpha. So we could like stab the other rabbits . Weapons should be: Bows with arrows, bo staff, nunchucks, knives, swords, throwing stars, and spears.
Now give me some of your ideas!

Re: Weapons
That would be nice, but I think the old adage that "They'll be done when they're done" applies here.
Re: Weapons
weapons in the next build would be a nice surprise. Cant get my hopes up too high though

Re: Weapons
...And we have weapons. From what I can tell, it's just picking up and dropping, but we have weapons.

Haha. How serendipitous.Madd the Sane wrote:...And we have weapons. From what I can tell, it's just picking up and dropping, but we have weapons.
Re: Weapons
Bows, throwing stars - they should focus on melee combat firstkbwilliams95 wrote:I think Wolfire should make weapons for their next alpha. So we could like stab the other rabbits . Weapons should be: Bows with arrows, bow staff, nunchucks, knives, swords, throwing stars, and spears.

bow staff - did you mean "bo" staff? staves and canes of various lengths are very common as weapons, so we'll probably see something like them used in the game
nunchucks - rabbits are herbivores, so they'll probably be farmers, which means they'll probably have all sorts of farming implements readily available. Besides flails (nunchucks are rather small as far as flails go), there are scythes, sickles, poles, hoes, axes and adzes. Out of these, flails in their various forms are the least likely ones to appear, because it's harder to animate an attack with a weapon with independently moving part.
Knife, sword and spear models have already been done. See the links below.
Here are the official ideas:
Ranged weapons are being considered, but since the emphasis is on the melee combat they might be left out: http://blog.wolfire.com/2009/05/ranged- ... vergrowth/
Dogs use swords, knives and polearms:

Cats have a rapier and main gauche weapons that look very different from the dogs' functional weapons.

Here's the fourth part of a four part "how are Overgrowth assets made" series, explaining how a weapon model is made. This weapon is a unique weapon that a captured wolf is forced to fight with in some sort of gladiatorial combat.

EDIT:
The Snowblood Paladins have an Aztec-inspired sword: metal or obsidian shards attached to a wooden base.
