ok, now I finally want to have answered one question:
L2 will allow you to explore the landscape freely (at least I think this was announced), which means that there wont be that linear and somewhat boring mission structure "kill everthing -> next place -> kill everything".
I really like that free roaming thing and I thinks it's a big leap forward in the right direction, BUT: Will L2 be more like RPG games for example Gothic or Oblivion ? Of course, not that deep character development and questing, but will you be able to just vist other cities, talk to people, trade ? Or you hunt some I-dont-know and sell them in town ?
That would be EXTREMLY COOL, so what exactly is the concept ?

I sincerely hope that a few RPG elements are put into the game.
In fact, I think I recall the big cheese mentioning something like that, I'm not sure.
I know for a fact that there will be 3d backpacks, as in, instead of weight being the only thing keeping you from carrying 40 warhammers, there's actual physical space as well.
Hmmm?

I want some rpg elements, but that doesn't mean branching story lines, religious discussions, or multiple endings. And like, I haven't even heard of anything to show that the endings will be open ended, or that the endings even should be open ended. I think I linear story is much better, it's better to write and it doesn't make the player feel uneasy that he may be going down the lame story path and he should just quit and restart to go down the other.Colicedus wrote:From what I can tell, the endings may be open ended as well, (David please confirm this please)
The rpg elements I want to see in Lugaru are a money system, an inventory system, a map screen you can travel, a place to eat and sleep, friendly npc interactions, side missions, and some character development like learning new moves and gaining more muscles.
