I dare you...

Post by Silb » Mon Feb 13, 2006 8:07 am

...to beat these.

The challenge lies in due beating of the following times, on Insane:

Level 11 : 30 secs
Level 12 : 38 secs
Level 13 : 35 secs

Anyone?

Detailed rules are on the back of the package.

No, it's a fairly rational approach. Here's a map for level 11, with full-fledged 3D and particle effects.

So anyone outbid those times?

...

Uh... Who's still playing the game?

Still playing the game?
I am. It never gets dull.
I mostly play WoW now though, I just got it (about 10 days ago).

I'll try that "plan" of yours
:P

Wow, nice looking plan you got there. Still, I think it will take a bit to get better times than the ones you got.

Since the previous time challenge has gone unanswered, I'm extending it to all these:
(except level 2, for which the best bid is already at 5 seconds)

(Time of 25 on level 6 was due to a bug--it should be 30)

@Crill3: you're playing WoW and still posting on the forum? All the guys I know who have tried this game have mysteriously vanished (yet you can still hear strange battle cries coming from their locked room, late at night)

No...that's impossible, I haven't got a key to lock meself in :(

WoW is just another game on my "playlist", though I play it a little more than other games at the moment.

Welcome to the boards! :)

Yes, these times are all real and I can explain how to get them. Here are level 12 & 13.

Update: my time for level 11 is now 26 seconds.

Anyway this is my last post for 6 months (internship in China for college), so I can't discuss level strategies with you for now, got a plane to catch :P

Ok at first I was like ok that's prett sweet silb, I could never have done this.

But can any one tell me how this is possible?
I mean, not only is it really hard to beat that first level like that, but it's physically impossible, at least I think so. I mean think about it, not only do you have to kill just 3 rabbits and rank up 1,466 points (face it, you can't do that without killing them). But you also have to bring up the winning screen right then and there.

Look at it, try and beat level one, just run stright down the middle and tap "i" while you're in debug mode, you can't beat the record. Then go on to level 2 and run through that, you'll still end up with like 13 seconds. The game gives you like 4 seconds to let you set up a nice winning shot, so how can that be possible?

I refuse to believe this untill somebody shows how to skip that sequence. Come back Silb! I need to know your secrets!!

Same with Usagi. We should name that time with him, The Usagi Era, god dangit, I can't believe I missed that, if only I came here like a couple months earlier, I would have known, Damn.

For sure Silb will come back right after/near Lugaru's completion (don't they have computers in China? :P )

Usagi's return will be a magnificent opening, he said not until an apology (I think that was done) and he said not Lugaru, that means we'll see him for Lugaru 2 right? Right? Oh c'mon just say yes! :?

He might still be sneaking around. When the hairs on your neck suddenly stand straight, it might be Usagi passing by behind you...

Zantalos, times displayed when you finish a map are about 7 seconds more than those stored in the high scores, because they include the waiting time after you kill the last bunny. If you have debug mode on, your scores are not saved at all, so you won't be able to notice this.

I think that answers your question. :)
