It reminds me of a a movie of Armageddon.
The darkened ground, and the heavenly sky, you just expect angles to come from the sky and harvest the last living souls.
Not that I am religious or believe in that stuff, its just a way of putting it into a way I can describe it...
I think everyone here would give up there girlfriend to get this game once it is done...
What computer specs are you running it on?
Edit: I have a New Q:
Is that what the ground is going to look like without Grass shaders?

That looks amazing! Like Zaphon said, I think that might be one of the best looking skies I've seen in a game. Was that sped up, or was that moving in real time?David wrote:I put up a youtube video of it in timelapse, but it got pretty messed up by the compression.

question: i really like that the game looks better and better with every new blog update, but which gameplay mechanics are included at the moment ?
You can run and jump around, but what else ?

Well, yeah... procedural animations for combat would mean that your moves could be affected by your condition...
I think I read somewhere that David is thinking of putting in bandages/splints to staunch bleeding, preventing you from losing more health, and to allow bones to set properly, so you don't walk around like some guy with cerebal palsy, so it would be cool to have a splint on your arm, which makes that arm move stiffly, or makes you run awkwardly/limp if it's on your leg. And then there's the whole thing of spinning backhands with a splint... owch. (Imagine getting hit in the side of the head with a piece of slightly padded 2x4... especially by someone with Turner's strength... )
EDIT: Knew I forgot something...
DAMNOMFGFWTFBBQZOMGGAHHHAAH! That sky is the best sky I've ever seen... even better that it's slightly faster than a normal skydome.
Nice work David. And I know it's been said, but, could we just get a teeny little tech demo where we can run around? Pwetty please with sugar, and ice cream, and cherries, and many other sweet things on top?
